Kathleen’s Back Problems |
I would like to thank all the people who have contacted my wife, Kathleen, and given her their input, experience, and advice concerning her back problem. As most of you know for three years we have consulted with many top orthopedic and neurosurgeons, hoping for a miracle but have always been told the same thing. That she would need a vertebral fusion and replacement of a disk with a foreign material with only a 50/50 chance of success. Finally, due to the excruciating pain, Kathleen bit the bullet and made an appointment to have the operation in November 2011. At this point Walker Curry, an ex-military physical training instructor friend of mine stepped in and begged Kathleen to postpone the operation for a few months. This would allow him to work on her back and see if any improvement could be made by building up her muscles. After three months of vigorous work outs twice a week, it seems like her prayers have been answered. Her back no longer prevents her from performing normal physical activities, and the pain has subsided. This picture of Kathleen was taken on March 10, 2012, at a Gala held at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel and Marina. Those of you who have met Kathleen will see an amazing change in her. Take a look, not bad for an old timer! |
